Alison began her studies in art in 1992 after a fifteen year career in restaurant management. She also spent three years working as a chef on charter yachts in the Mediterranean, West Indies and the USA before buying and running her own seafood restaurant in Plymouth, the "Quo Vadis", for six years. Alison now works from studios in Bow, East London.
