In 2010, Alison set up a community interest company Twhistle CIC trading as the Whistle Art Stop.

After looking for a suitable premises in Haltwhistle, Northumberland, to run a large community art project, she discovered Scarth’s Yard. The premises consisted on a group of sheds and a front building which had been lying empty for many years. After a very quick negotiation, Twhistle CIC entered into a lease! The rest is history, as you will see by the photographs.
